ADVENTURES WITH NATURE 2009!
Adventures With Nature 2009 was a huge success! Despite the hot, humid temperatures a record attendance of over 350 people enjoyed the presentations and exhibits on display Saturday, June 27 at Tipsaw Lake in Perry County.
Sponsors of this annual event include: Ken Shourds Equipment, Southern Indiana Power, PSC, ThyssenKrupp Waupaca, Inc., Leibering & Sons, Inc., Perry County SWCD, Spencer County SWCD and the Lincoln Hills RC&D Forestry Committee.
The planning committee of Lincoln Hills Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D), U.S. Forest Service, IDNR Division of Forestry, Purdue Extension - Perry County, and the Spencer and Perry County Soil & Water Conservation Districts (SWCD) brought six entertaining, informative programs to the event and several exhibits & hands-on activities.
Free goody bags were distributed to the children until the bag supply was depleted. Attendance prizes, including passes to several area attractions were given away throughout the day.
This annual event happens on the 4th Saturday of June. Mark your calendar for next year's event - June 26, 2010!
