Lincoln Hills RC&D - providing local solutions for local concerns
EDUCATION COMMITTEE
    
     The Lincoln Hills RC&D Education Committee consists of staff from Purdue Extension, Spencer and Perry Counties; Soil & Water Conservation District, Spencer and Perry Counties; the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry; U.S. Forest Service; and Lincoln Hills RC&D. 
     This committee offers education workshops and/or field days focusing on the environment and our natural resources. 
     Programs offered in the past include:  AgWORKS (Ag Women Realizing Knowledge & Skills); Hoosier RiverWatch (Water quality monitoring on streams & tributaries); The Walk For Health (4 Walks held in different locations in Perry & Spencer County to promote good health); Project WILD (a supplementary environmental/conservation education program emphasizing wildlife); Environmental Fair (provided to 5th grade students in Perry and Spencer Counties); and Master Naturalist (an 8 week course focusing on various natural resource subjects).
     A Master Naturalist program will be offered again in 2010 - more information will be available at a later time.
